The Derby Breakfast is more than just a party — it’s a tradition rooted in Southern charm, community connection, and the excitement of Kentucky Derby weekend. And for the 11th year in a row, Weekend Wedding Warrior was honored to plan and execute this iconic event, hosted at the beautiful and historic Farmington.

This year brought some especially exciting milestones. The 2025 Derby Breakfast was officially named a Kentucky Derby Festival Event, a true testament to its cultural significance and community impact. We were also thrilled to welcome WHAS11’s Great Day Live back to the Breakfast for the second year of live coverage — adding energy and buzz as guests arrived in their Derby finest.

From start to finish, guests enjoyed live music from the talented Electria Strings, a delicious Southern-inspired buffet and open bar, and a charming backdrop of spring gardens and historic architecture. The Brand Pavilion came alive with laughter, clinking glasses, and friends catching up in their seersucker and fascinators.

One highlight was the Derby Breakfast Raffle, featuring a bottle of 12-year Pappy Van Winkle signed by Julian Van Winkle III, and a hand-illustrated bottle of Veuve Clicquot by local artist Maizie Clarke. All raffle proceeds directly supported the Historic Homes Foundation, helping preserve Louisville’s most treasured landmarks.

We’re proud of the growth and evolution of this event, and we’re so grateful to the vendors, volunteers, guests, and partners who make it all possible year after year.
